Soccer is the undisputed number one sport in the Solomon Islands. In the village of Fote (Malaita Island), children play every day after school—often completely barefoot, but always with unmatched passion.
In 2010, I spent three months living in this remote community while collaborating with the NGO Little and Loud. This experience inspired me to create a short documentary capturing the raw bond between these children and the sport. The story was published in the inaugural issue of Ottawa-based 11PLAYERS magazine.
